The story of Galerie Drake begins in 2022 in Paris at the Puces de Saint-Ouen.

While studying for a master’s degree in intellectual property law, I joined a friend working there and decided to open my own stall. I found myself surrounded by objects from all corners of the world, from various eras and in a myriad of styles. Every weekend I learned to see anew, refining my eye and tastes, and gradually my attention gravitated towards Asian art. Over the months Chinese porcelain became an obvious passion, and I no longer wished simply to admire it; I longed to explore it in depth. Little by little, curiosity turned into study, and that transformed into a ceaseless journey from learning to expertise, a delightfully obsessive quest. Through books, auction catalogues, auction houses, museums, meetings, but above all by acquiring pieces. After a year spent at the Saint-Ouen market, I decided to leave and launch my gallery online in 2023.

Today the Gallery is devoted exclusively to Chinese porcelain, with particular care taken in selecting each piece, considering provenance and the documentation accompanying it. The items offered are carefully curated. We strive to present a wide selection covering the full spectrum of Chinese porcelain, with a focus on porcelain made for export. While European export remains a recurring feature of the pieces we present, we also endeavour to include other types of export porcelain, with special attention to European taste. I hope you enjoy the pieces we share with you.
