A large porcelain Foo‑dog of extremely high quality. It is rare to see a figure so detailed with such a creamy glaze. Usually encountered around the end of the 17th century and under Kangxi, but throughout the Qing dynasty. This Foo‑dog is unusual: first, its size — a little over 34 cm — makes it a particularly large example. The elements of its collar are also extremely well executed. All the raised decorative details show a huge care taken in the crafting of this Buddhist‑lion statue.
