A large porcelain dish decorated in iron-red, brown, gold, blue and yellow with a tree and lotus flowers. The central design is encircled by four blue cartouches set against a swastika-patterned ground. The enamelling and the raised enamel work are particularly elaborate. The border is decorated with the same flowers as those in the central motif.
ADDITIONAL INFORMATION :
The decoration cannot be described as Imari, since this palette requires the use of underglaze blue, whereas no cobalt underglaze is used here.
