A rare porcelain teapot with “Milk and Blood” and Famille Rose enamels. It is decorated with a scene from the novel The Three Kingdoms. The lid features a floral border in rose enamels. The combination of Milk and Blood and Famille Rose enamels is a rare association.

The novel The Three Kingdoms is a historical novel attributed to Luo Guanzhong, written in the 14th century. It recounts events from the end of the Han dynasty to the reunification of China under the Jin dynasty. Through these events, the narrative features many characters — heroes, warlords, strategists — blending historical fact, legendary tales, and fictional embellishment.
