A large Famille Verte porcelain ewer decorated with a varied floral motif. The neck is glazed in iron‑red, as is the outer rim of the cover. The decoration is particularly finely worked, with a rich diversity of enamels.

Paul Blondeau
Paul Blondeau was a well‑known French collector. Later in life, he opened a shop at 50 rue de la Boétie, Paris. He specialized in Far Eastern arts and was reputed for discovering treasures. He was above all a major collector of hard stone, particularly jade; many porcelains also passed through his hands.
Two sales dispersing his collection were held at Hôtel Drouot — one in 1926 and the second in 1927.
