ADDITIONAL INFORMATION :

Powder-blue porcelains dating from the early Transitional period are rarely encountered. The composition of these two saucers is particularly interesting, and it may be suggested that they were intended for the Japanese market. If so, they may have had a significant influence on the development of the Japanese style.

Furthermore, the powder blue of these cups differs from the later powder blue of the Kangxi period, notably in the larger particles and in its less speckled appearance.
